A Cool Scrapbooking Project!

I have been in this huge cleaning frenzy this past week. I think I have cleaned out almost every cupboard in our kitchen, lol! And I'm not finished yet! As you can see I went a little scrapbook crazy as I was organizing the photos on the fridge this morning. I can't wait to see what my hubby says when he gets home. I know my kids will love having all of their favorite people on the fridge for them to see every day. It is a great way for them to remember Grandparents and family down in Florida that we don't get to see very often.

This second photo is a closeup of the 'family' decoration that I cut out using my Cricut. I am still getting used to using it and figuring out all of the buttons and different features. Can't wait to make more decorations using it!

Instructions

1. Stamp outline botanical image in Kiwi Kiss ink once on top-left side of Kiwi Kiss page and three times in bottom-right corner of page.

2. Stamp “Wonderful” in basic Gray ink on page.

3. Pierce vertical and horizontal rows of holes in top-left corner of page using paper-piercing tool from Crafters’ Tool Kit.

4. Adhere Kiwi Kiss Patterns Designer Series paper (8-1/2" x 4-1/2") to page.

5. Adhere photo to page using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Journal on right side of photo using Basic Gray Stampin’ Write marker.

6. Adhere Canvas Cuts bracket to page using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

7. Stamp “Daughter” in Basic Gray ink on Pink Pirouette card stock (1-1/4" x 3/8") and adhere to page using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

8. Tie Pink Pirouette 5/8" striped grosgrain ribbon around front of page.

9. Stamp botanical image in Basic Gray and Kiwi Kiss ink on Canvas Cuts scallop circle. Fill in Basic Gray image with Crystal Effects and let dry. Adhere to page using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Proud to be an American

Since it is National Scrapbook Month, I figured I might as well do a scrapbook page, lol! I really miss all the scrapbooking that I used to do. That's how I first got started was scrapbooking! And I am slowly getting scrapbooks done for all of my children, slowly! I really need to spend more time getting caught up. But it seems so overwhelming at first. I find that if I take a little time to organize my photos first it helps so much. I sort out my photos into photo boxes for each child, and then one for myself, so that I know which photos are going into each child's book.

I am also working on a hertiage type book, so I am collecting info and photos from my parents and grandparents and also on my husband's side of the family, so that I can make a heritage scrapbook to pass along to my children about their grandparents, greatgrandparents, and then a couple pages about us. My hope is that they will continue the tradition and add their own pages to pass along to their children.

Anyways, onto my page for today. I made this yesterday really quick, and I didn't use my Stampin' Up! paper, I know, shock! I really have been trying to use up all of this paper that I have in my craft room, which I have so much more of since my mil gave me even more, lol! This designer paper was from PaperCrate. I love the distressed look that it has. I only sponged some brown around the edges of the little blue stripe. The photo itself and the two little journaling strips are popped up on dimensionals. The little Proud to be an American tag was stamped and punched out with SU's scallop square punch, and then also sponged with brown ink. It also is up on dimensionals. The twill ribbon makes the perfect accent I think.

The photo is back from 1975, taken even before I was born. This is my Uncle Rod. He was one of my favorite uncle's growing up. He was so much fun! He even took my to get my ears pierced for my 12th birthday! He now lives over in Germany and I don't get to talk to him. He reminds me of my little brother Robbie. He looks like him and even acts like him, lol, always into trouble!

I am going to hang this page up in a black frame that I bought yesterday and put it up in the living room for a while before I put it into the scrapbook I think! I really like this one!

Mom's Scrapbook

This was another Demo Challenge on SCS last week. This is a little scrapbook that is made out of business sized envelopes. I made it into a scrapbook for my mom for Mother's Day. I will be filling it with pictures of the kids on our recent vacation to Florida to visit my parents. I know it will cheer her up! Here is a picture of the inside:

I used the new pretty paper called Raspberry Tart again just because it is so very pretty! I didn't like the colors in this paper at first, but they have really grown on me.

I also have received some new goodies from Stampin' Up! and will lots more to share with you all soon! I love some of the cute sets in the new mini catalog and can't wait for you all to see them!

This is a cute little brag book/scrapbook that I made using the Demo Resources on the Stampin' Up! Website. It was such a cute idea!

It has 5 clear envelopes on the inside that can be used to place your photos in.

I plan on making lots of these for Christmas gifts this year!

Instructions
1. Punch top-left corner of large photo using 3/16" Corner Rounder punch and adhere Candy Lane Designer Series paper (2" x 5") to back of photo. Adhere photo to Close to Cocoa page.

2. Adhere second photo to page using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

3. Punch bottom-right corner of third photo using 3/16" Corner Rounder punch and adhere to page.

4. Stamp large heart image in Chocolate Chip ink on Riding Hood Red card stock (3" x 3"). Punch flower image from heart using 1/2" Circle punch. Attach Silver brad to center of flower. Cut out heart. Adhere heart to page and adhere punched out flower slightly off original position.

5. Stamp three hearts image in Chocolate Chip ink on Pink Pirouette card stock (3" x 3"). Cut out tall heart and adhere to page.

6. Cut letters “Lve” from On Board Book Basics and Candy Lane Designer Series paper (5" x 7-1/2") using Big Shot machine and Naturally Serif die. Adhere paper letters to chipboard letters and adhere to page.

7. Stamp “you much” in Chocolate Chip ink on Very Vanilla card stock. Adhere card stock to page.

8. Journal on page using Chocolate Chip Stampin’ Write marker.


I know some of you may be overwhelmed when it comes to scrapbooking at first. I know I was! But it is such a fun thing to do, and makes a wonderful gift for your loved ones! Just think of the fun times your children will have looking at their scrapbooks with their children some day!

Snow Scrapbook Page

Isn't this adorable? I copied this page from another blog that I had seen, I even copied down her name and blog so that I could give her proper credit, and now I can't seem to find that paper I wrote it down on! So this is not my original idea, but I thought it was just so cute!

The base of the page is chocolate chip, and then has some of the Alpine designer paper. The snow layers at the bottom are white cardstock and inked along the edges. The snowman is just circles cut out in different sizes with Stampin' Up!s Cullozle. I also added some rub-ons!

These pictures were from last winter when my sister came up to visit us. She took some wonderful pictures of the kids catching snowflakes!

More Easy Scrabook Designs

These two pages came together very quickly and easily. They do use some retired cardstock (soft sky) and also retired designer papers (fall flowers), but I know you'll understand! I am so trying to be a good girl and use up all of the papers and things that I have in my craft room before I buy more stuff!!! It is so easy for me to hoard all of these pretty things that I just had to have, and then never use them!!!


So, for these pages I glued on some pretty Stampin' Up! buttons on both pages using my two way glue pen. I also stamped the flower images on the bottom of the left page and the top of the right page. The stamp set is True Friend, which is available!

See how easy it is to make some cute scrapbook pages? Now all I need to do is add some photos, and voila! I hope this inspires you to make some of your own scrapbook pages. I would love to see what you come up with!

Simple Scrapbook Pages

Who would have guessed that I still have wedding pictures needing to be scrapped? Well, these were actually pictures that my mother-in-law gave me and asked me to put together a scrabook for her mother (my husband's grandmother).

These two pages were very quick and simple to do, not a lot of detail. Just some cardstock (pretty in pink), designer paper (holiday treasures), and some rub ons, all from Stampin' Up!

I plan on offering some scrapbook classes in the spring. Hoping to start a once a month scrapbook night where you can bring all of your projects and supplies and scrap (or make cards) for a few uninterupted hours! Please let me know if this sounds like something that you would be interested in attending. I will have more details once I figure them all out and get them planned. Scrapbook Pages

I thought I would share with you a few scrapbook pages that I made for my youngest son's scrapbook. They use only Stampin' Up! supplies. All of the paper (holiday treasures), stamps (defining alphabet), and punches (photo corner and five petal flower) are all from Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up! really does have great products for all of your paper crafting and scrapbooking needs. Something I have discovered that has helped me to make quick scrapbooks and pages, and also gifts, are their Simply Scrappin' Kits. They have all of the cardstock and designer paper to match in the 12 x 12 size perfect for scrapbooking! And they also come with pages of cardstock type stickers in tons of designs all matched! So I don't have to worry about will this match with this or that. It is so very helpful to me!!! And all the kits come in tons of designs. So they are perfect for baby albums, holiday albums, wedding albums, birthday albums, etc!!!

6x6 Love You Page

Here is a 6x6 size scrapbook page, also using the Love You Much Bundle. This was super fast and easy to make. And yet again, another wedding photo!! This also uses some Very Vanilla Ribbon, and a silver round tag. I did some journaling around the photo after I took this picture. I really must get some more of this darling Candy Lane paper! It has so many uses!!!

Love You Much Scrapbook Pages

I am just loving the Love You Much Bundle!!!!!



These two scrapbook pages were made using the Candy Lane Designer Paper, Love You Much stamp set, and the Heart Punch. Super fun and cute!!! I just had to put pictures of my brother-in-laws wedding on here. I love the photo of them kissing in front of the waterfall on the left page. That is one of my favorite photos from the wedding! They make such a beautiful couple! And they are expecting my newest niece in another month!! Can't wait to meet her!!!

Halloween Page

Here is a little 5x7 scrapbook page that I did for a decoration piece for our Halloween party this week. It uses basic grey paper, basic black, pumpkin pie, and Stampin' Up!s designer paper. The dp is cut with the coluzzle. And the black paper is punched with the sprial punch. It also uses the Halloween rub-ons from Stampin' Up! And then added two different ribbons, yellow and black gingham. The layout for this page came from a Stampin' Success from last year. I put this in a plain black picture frame.

I think I need to do more scrapbook pages for pictures to decorate around the house. And then when I am done displaying them I can put them into a scrapbook.

I am up in the middle of the night with a sick 3 year old who is throwing up. Hope you all have a better weekend than us!

I love this page with all the guys on it. This page uses the stamp set Wanted, and retired Stampin Up! paper.

Hope you are having a good weekend! It is going to rain here all day. We will be cleaning Becky's room today - please pray that I don't get lost in the mess!! Last time I cleaned her room it took me 3 hours!!!! It only took me a 1/2 hour to clean the boys room yesterday. We are doing our before Christmas cleaning: toss out old broken toys and garbage, and weed out the outgrown clothes and toys and donate to the church's thrift store.

Also cooking a ham and sweet potatoes dinner for tonight. I love the fall and winter when I can cook the comfort foods for dinner, and have lots of leftovers for the next week!

I hope to get some stamping time in also! We have our Halloween Party this Friday night that we need to get some projects done for, and also a Baby Shower next week that I have nothing done but the invitations!
