More Sweet Treats!

These are the Easter treats that we made for the kid's teachers this year. I think they all came out so cute! And they were so easy to make. I just used things that I allready had in a box in my closet, such as these cute little buckets!





I made 3 for my youngest's preschool teachers. And then 4 each for my older two children. And then as they were getting ready to go out for the bus this morning, they all complained that they needed one more because they had 5 teachers to give them to! What! So I'm glad that I kept them simple and easy, because I was able to whip up a few more very quickly! I hope their teachers like them, and that they get them before the kids eat them all up!

Sweet Easter Treats

Here are some little goodie bags that I made for my kiddos to take to school. These are the treats for all of their classmates. I will be sharing the teacher treats tomorrow.

On a personal note, we have decided to move to Florida!!! We are so very excited!!! So that is why I haven't been up to blogging much lately. We have put our house up for sale, and will be moving as soon as it's sold. Hopefully soon! So we have been busy with getting the house cleaned up and ready, and I have been getting rid of a lot of stuff. I'm such a packrat, lol!

More Valentine's Goodies

Here is a little treat bag that I made for my hubby for Valentine's Day. I didn't want him to feel left out since I made such cute little gifts for the kids.

We usually don't do much for each other on Valentine's Day. Sometimes we go out to dinner by ourselves, but that won't happen this year since all of our babysitters will be in Florida on vacation, darn them, lol!

This is just a simple bag topper that was stamped with a retired set from SU, and I'm not even sure of the name of it. I had let someone borrow all of my Valentine's type stamps, and hadn't gotten them back yet. So I had to dig through a tote of stamps to find something appropriate.

I wonder how many of these kisses I can steal from him! Gotta have my chocolate too~!

Valentine's Day Mailboxes

These are the cute little Target mailboxes from the Dollar Spot. I've actually had these in my closet for a while and just found them while I was cleaning. I figured this was a great time to finally use them.

I made one for each of my kiddos (2 boys, 1 girl). And all I used was some scrap Stampin' Up! designer paper for each one. The little flags have scalloped circles on them with a stamped heart (Little Layers Plus stamp set, retired SU). My daughter's has a little jewel on hers that I had found on her bedroom floor while cleaning the other day, lol!

I also made them each a little matching 3x3 card with more scrap paper. I love using scraps to make projects!

They are all filled with goodies: hershey kisses, heart suckers, gum, dip sticks, and peppermint patties.

I am planning on making homemade waffles, fresh strawberries, and cool whip for Sunday morning breakfast and putting these cute little mailboxes at their spots. Oh, and don't forget my daughter's favorite thing on Sunday mornings, SAUSAGE!!

Valentine's Bag Toppers

These are the little Valentine's treats that I made for my kid's teachers this year. They were so easy to make! I started with the small size cello bags from Stampin' Up!, and filled them with m&m's. I ate lots of the m&m's too!

Then I used the in-color Melon Mambo from SU! to make the topper. The whisper white layer is also stamped with the Melon Mambo color and a retired stamp from SU! that says Happy Valentine's Day!

The star brads were from my stash of goodies, who knows where they came from.

I'm sure the kids will love passing these out to their teachers this year!

Holiday Organizer

Here are some photos of the Holiday Organizer that we will be making at our Christmas in July class next week. For more details on the class please see my website under events: http://jenorbaker.stampinup.net.

I made this organizer completely using the Simply Scrappin' Kit called Christmas Jingle (available on my SU website). I love that all the cardstock stickers, designer paper, and cardstock all match! It makes it so much easier to color coordinate for me!

Easter Bunnies

I thought I would take a break from all of the wedding samples that I've been sharing with you (and yes I do have lots more~!).

These are cute little Easter bunnies that we made with punches. We made them into the cute little peppermint patty sandwhiches that you've seen everyone else make. The kids and I really enjoy making them for every holiday these days! They are so cute and easy to make!

Punches used to make these: Scallop Circle, Large Oval, Regular Hole Punch, Heart to Heart Punch (for his nose). And then we just used markers to color in his ears, mouth, and whiskers.

As I sit here and type this to all it is snowing like crazy, you know those big old fluffy snowflakes that make me crazy!! Yes it is snowing!!! This is just crazy. I'm sitting here dying to get outside in my flower beds and plant, and it's snowing. I hate living in Centerville!

Pillow Box Valentine's Treat!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!! What a great day to give a card and some chocolate to someone special in your life! I love Valentine's day, and I'm not quite sure why. I never get anything from my hubby for Valentine's Day, or my birthday, or Christmas, or our anniversary. Can you believe we've been married for over 10 years? He did tell me that I could buy the BigShot that I've been wanting for Christmas, so that is a major bonus for him! Anyways, I love making little Valentine's treats for my kids. So here is what I made this year. These were supposed to be made for stocking stuffers, but they had so much in their stockings this year, I decided to make them into Valentine's treats! Aren't they cute?

Now you may be wondering, hey, how did she make these using the pillow box die when she doesn't own the die or the BigShot yet? Good question! These were given to me by my new customer and stamping friend Ellen! Isn't she the greatest? She has discovered a love for stamping and Stampin' Up! and I am so glad that she has come to a few of my events. I love it when people understand my love for stamping and cardmaking!!!! It is a very addictive hobby! Well, she brought these to me at Christmas time and told me to make something for my kiddos! So thank you so much Ellen!!! I appreciate you!!!

These were cut out of acetate, and then I stamped the hearts from the Love You Much stamp set in White Stazon. After that dried, I used my red sticky tape to close it up, after putting some candy in of course! It is tied up with some pretty in pink ribbon. And then the circle stamp was stamped twice on whisper white and pretty in pink paper. Punched out with a circle punch and the scallop circle punch, glued together, and placed on the treat with a dimensional. Pretty quick and easy to make. I'm sure the kids will love them!

Instructions

1.Print SAB box pattern on sheet of Close to Cocoa card stock.

2. Create heart pattern by punching three hearts from scrap paper using Heart to Heart punch.

3. Stamp three hearts image in VersaMark ink on each side of box pattern. Match up heart pattern with VersaMark hearts and temporarily adhere pattern, wheel Whimsy image over pattern in Chocolate Chip ink. Repeat on each side of box pattern.

4. Cut out box pattern (cut off top) and assemble box.

5. Stamp “Hugs & kisses” scallop circle image in Chocolate Chip ink on Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette, and Riding Hood Red card stock (3" x 3"). Punch out Close to Cocoa image using Scallop Circle punch. Color in circles on scallops using White gel pen. Cut out circle from Pink Pirouette card stock and adhere to Close to Cocoa image. Cut out heart from Riding Hood Red card stock and adhere to Pink Pirouette circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere layered scallop circle to stick.

6. Stamp “Friend to friend” in Chocolate Chip ink on Very Vanilla card stock (1-1/2" x 1/4"). Adhere to stick.

7. Tie Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon in a knot and adhere to stick.

What a cute little Valentine to give to someone special this Valentine's Day!

Target Mailboxes!!!

This is just a perfect project for Valentine's day that can be easily adapted to any holiday or special occasion. This is a metal mailbox that can be found at Target in the Dollar Spot! They have white, red, pink, and I hear silver ones this year!

I covered the mailbox in the new Candy Lane Designer Paper from Stampin' Up! And used all of the new things from my Love You Much Bundle on here. The Love You Much stamp set, the paper, and the Three Heart Punch. I love how the circle stamp coordinates with the Scallop Circle Punch! I used that on the little flag part. I also tied on some white and pretty in pink ribbon (all from Stampin' Up!). And there is also pretty in pink ribbon around the door edges.

Can you see this filled with little love notes and some Valentine's candy for that special person in your life? Great for loved ones, friends, kids, and teacher's gifts!

Becky's Ornaments

I thought I would share this cute little ornament that my 8 year old daughter Becky made this Christmas. She punched out 8 circle scallop punches using Stampin' Up!s Holiday Treasures designer paper. She then folded them all in half and glued them together using my snail adhesive.

Before glueing the last pieces together, she put a piece of sticky tape down the center, and then placed a piece of silver cording which had a pearl from the Pretties Kit on it. Then she trimmed off the bottom of the cord.

This is such a cute and easy project using Stampin' Up!s punches. You could make a lot of them in a very short time. And so easy that my eight year old could make them by herself (well, with a little help from mom). She was so proud of her ornament hanging on the pretty tree! I know we'll be making lots more of these!

Love You Much Treats

This is a door prize that I will be giving away at my sister's workshop. Isn't it cute? It has 4 hershey kisses inside! What a sweet and perfect Valentine for someone special!

I also used my new Love You Much Bundle to create this. Here are the directions:

1. Start with a quarter sheet of cardstock (I used Pretty in Pink). (5 1/2 x 4 1/4)

2. Stamp all over if desired. I stamped mine with the heart stamp that comes with the set with pretty in pink ink.

3. Score at 1 3/8 inches on one side, turn and also score at 1 3/8 inches on the other side. Fold on the score marks. Fold up into a tent type shape and adhere using strong adhesive. I used my snail.

4. I stamped the scallop image from this stamp set in pretty in pink ink on white cardstock, and then punched it out using my scallop circle punch from Stampin Up! (I love this punch and use it a lot!) I adhered it to my treat box using a pop-up dimensional (also from Stampin Up!).

5. Stick one Hershey kiss at one end of tent, using glue dot. Slide in 2 more kisses. Then “anchor” the other end with one more kiss, stuck down with a glue dot.

Stocking Treats

Merry Christmas!!!! I am so thankful to have each and everyone of you as my friend. I hope you all have a blessed holiday!!!!

Today I thought I would share with you some of our hot cocoa treats that we made as gifts. And I put one of these in each of the children's stockings this year since they all loved them so much. They each have two packets of hot cocoa and some tootsie rolls, all wrapped up in a cello bag, and tied with a ribbon and tag. Super simple, but a very nice gift.

The mugs were bought at the Family Dollar for a $1 each. Can't get any better than that!

We "Whisk" You a Merry Christmas!

I can't believe it's almost Christmas!!! I hope you all are ready and not feeling the stress of the season!

These cute little whisks are a perfect little Christmas gift that can be quickly made if you are still looking for some ideas!

The whisks were purchased from The Dollar Store, filled with hershey kisses, and wrapped in a cello bag. Tie it up with a little ribbon, and attach a tag. I used my scallop circle punch from Stampin' Up!, and also a circle punch for the saying. I printed off the saying on my computer that says 'We "Whisk" You a Merry Christmas".

Wintergreen Chocolate!

Well, Wintergreen paper that is! This is some designer paper from last year that is now retired Stampin' Up! I really like this paper, and the colors in this paper, and my supply of it is running low! I think it is great for Christmas cards and gifts such as these.

I used the Top Note Die to make the toppers for my cello bags (also from Stampin' Up!). And then made little accents for the toppers. I used the stamp set Perfect Presentations (also retired Stampin' Up!). Some of the tags have ribbon and all of them have glitter of course. Everything looks better with a little Dazzling Diamonds! The bag toppers are just stapled onto the tops of the bags.

Inside the bags are hershey nuggets covered with more of the same designer paper. Super quick and easy gift that everyone loves!!!!

I won't tell you how many of the chocolate nuggets I ate while making these! The yellow ones are my favorite!

More Holiday Gifts!

Some of you may recognize this can from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog! That's because I Cased (Copy and Share Everything), from there! This was a Gerber Wagon Wheels container that has been waiting patiently in my pantry for me to do something with it. I covered it with some Whisper White cardstock and some Alpine Designer Paper (also from the Holiday mini catalog). Add some Rubons, some Chocolate chip ribbon, and it is ready to go! Now I just need to get some nuts to put inside the cello bag and tie it up!

I also decorated the candle to match with some of the same Alpine paper, scallop circle punch, and Rubons.

This gift set will be going to someone special this Christmas, I hope she enjoys it!

Sparkly Ornaments!!!

These are just the most sparkly things I have made in a long time! I was just so excited to share them with everyone that I didn't even take the time to put the tops back on them, or attach a pretty ribbon to the top. You'll just have to imagine that on there!! lol!!

These were clear ornaments that I purchased at The Dollar Tree after Christmas last year. So I actually got a package of 3 ornaments for only $.50! I got several packages!! I have just been waiting to make these. We will be giving these as gifts this year to our family, (along with some handmade lotion - more to come on that next week!).

These were very easy to make, a little messy, but lots of fun! They use Stampin' Up! Reinkers and Glitter. You can see the directions that I followed on this blog:

Holiday Tiny Treat Basket!

These really do come out tiny, but so adorable! I think it will fit 3 to 4 of the peppermint patty sandwhiches. I made enough for 4 of them, but seemed to have run out of pepp. patties with all of the snowmen and grinches that I made last night! Had to run to the store after play practice and get some more! Hint: Dollar General had some red and green ones for only $2 a bag!

My basket uses the Stampin' Up! holiday paper Alpine that is in the Holiday Mini Catalog. Very pretty. I also embellished the basket and the scallop circles with Stampin' Up!s Rubons! Quick and easy. Chocolate Chip Tafetta Ribbon was attached through the jumbo eylettes.

In keeping with our handmade Christmas this year, this will be going into my hubby's stocking for a treat! Seeings how he was trying to eat the pepp patties last night, I know he'll like it!
