Crayon Resist Valentines

Here is another Valentine's Day card that I made this year. This uses my new stamp set Time Well Spent for the heart, and also a retired hostess set for the "always". This card is all one layer, making it simple and very easy to make. It also uses the Crayon Resist Technique. If you haven't ever tried this technique I encourage you to give it a try. Here are some simple instructions for this:
1. Stamp your image on glossy cardstock, (we used regular whisper white here), with black ink (we used black Staz-On).
2. Color with white crayon where you would like a highlight (white spot) to be. (we colored in the outline of the heart and the flowers).
3. Brayer over the images or use sponges to go over the entire card (we used sponge daubers and Pretty in Pink and Purely Pomegranate ink on ours).
4. Use a tissue or paper towel and rub over your image, the ink won't stay on the crayon areas.
5. Finish your card!
Have fun trying this new technique! Check out Splitcoast Stampers for detailed instructions including pictures, and a gallery full of others projects using this technique:
Happy Stamping!
