Ok, another post from me today, but I was just so excited to share this with you!!! I know I have mentioned before that the kids and I were all in the play 'A Christmas Story.' Our play was Friday night and it was fabulous!!!! Everyone did such a great job!!!!
Kyle played Randy. Becky was a school girl. And I was the Mother. I am hoping to have some photos to post soon. I wasn't able to get any photos myself, but another mom that I know said that she would share hers with me since I was busy on the stage all the time!
I found this stamp online, but they were out of stock. So I just printed off the image on my printer for now. I made several of these type of cards for members of the cast for our cast party next weekend! I am so excited to give it to them! If you've never seen the movie, you must do that soon! It usually is on tv all day on Christmas Eve. It is so funny!!!!
I know this isn't Stampin' Up!, but I just had to share it with you! And I had to show you that I can sew! Really, I stink at sewing, but I just received a new toy from one of my online stamping friends, a Janome Sew Mini. It is perfect for sewing on my cards and scrapbook pages. This was my first attempt at it. You can see the zig zag stiching around the edges. I need a lot more practice, but I just love the look of sewing on some of the cards that I've seen.
The cardstock used is now retired, but I am trying to use up all of my cardstock and patterend paper from last year, before new ones come out again in July! I didn't purchase any of the current in-colors this year due to the fact that I still have way too much of the now retired in-colors. I promised myself that I wouldn't buy any more until I had used up what I own. I have a lot of work to do, lol!!! One of my goals for the new year is to use all of the paper and designer paper that I have and stop hoarding so much stuff!!!! I am outgrowing my craft room!!! I really need to organize better and use what I have before getting more stuff!!!!
Anyways: Supplies used for this card:
Cardstock: Soft Sky, Basic Black, Whisper White
Designer Paper: Soft Sky
Ink: Compter printout, Black Stazon
Stamps: Hugs & Wishes
Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Silver Brads, SU Markers to color in image, Two Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Stamp-a-ma-Jig, Janome Sew Mini
Hope you all enjoyed my leg lamp! I had to pretend to break it in the play, but not really break it because it was being auctioned off at the end of the play! One of the rehersals I broke the light bulb on top accidentally!!!
Forgot to mention, all the proceeds of the play went to the local food pantry and Giving Tree (x-mas gifts for kids). So it was worth all the work!
Happy Stampin'
Jen
