Ballet Thank You

Here is one of the cards that we will be giving to Becky's ballet teachers this year. This stamp set is called En Pointe, and is a retired Stampin' Up! set. I got it before it retired last year and I'm so glad I did!
It's hard to tell from the scan, but the base of the card is black. The whisper white piece was run through my cuttlebug. The stamped image was clear embossed and layered onto a piece of Purely Pomegranate after using my paper piercer for the upper right corner. The image was colored in with my blender pen and purely pomegranate ink pad. 3 pearls were also added on the left, just cause I like them!
I can't believe the end of the school year and the end of ballet will be coming so soon! Just a few more weeks! So I'll be busy working on teacher's gifts the next few weeks. I am actually glad the end of the school year and summer will be here soon. I will be having surgery on my left foot at the end of June, and it will help to have all our activities done, so I won't have to be running the kids here there and everywhere for all the stuff that they do, since I won't be able to walk soon! And Kyle will be finishing up his last year at school. We will be starting homeschooling in August! We both are very excited. He actually asked me the other night if we could practice homeschooling and read some books together. His dad is less than excited, but I think he'll get with the program when he sees how well Kyle can do one-on-one. I am just hoping we are doing the right thing. But I really do think this will help him in the long run by taking him out of the bad situation that he's in. No one deserves to be beat up and picked on everyday.
Hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! We are supposed to have some gorgeous weather here finally! And Kyle will be marching in the parade and then has a baseball game soon afterwards. Have a happy and safe weekend!
Jen
