MIA

Sorry I've been missing in action lately. A lot of things have been going on since Easter. We had a wonderful Easter dinner with lots of family and friends. The kids have been keeping me very busy with all of their activities. I am now a Brownie Girl Scout Leader, so I have been busy planning activities, doing fundraisers, and taking leader training for that. I have also signed up to take an online Anatomy & Physiology class for my RN. So I will be busy studying for the next 12 weeks. And my husband has left for Vermont for another week. On top of that, I've been busy working also. Whew!
So needless to say, I haven't stamped much in the last 2 weeks. And I miss it so much! I have been debating on keeping up with my SU demoship these days. I just don't seem to have the time or energy to put into it what I would like to with everything else going on in my life. But I really do enjoy stamping and making cards, and scrapbooking also! But I just don't seem to have the time to make the things that I want to do, or to catch up on my families scrapbooks. So being a hobby demo is really sounding pleasing to me at this point in my life. I really admire anyone that can make a career out of being a SU Demo! It takes a lot of work and time!
Well, here is a card that I made probably about a month ago for a Demo Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. The technique is called shadowing. The article about this technique was shown in the Nov. Stampin Success, and the template for this card was there also. The base of the card is pretty in pink. The desinger paper is Berry Bliss, with a little piece folded up and attatched with a piece of hodgepodge hardware. The choc chip scallop circle punch was popped up on a dimensional after putting on a rub on! The "You make me happy" part is also a rub on! The shadowing part was really easy. You just stamp once with your image in versamark ink and then using your Stamp-a-ma-jig offset your image and stamp with white craft ink.
Hope you all have a wonderful week. Happy Stamping!
Jen

very cool, I will have to try this. Remember the best thing about SU is that you can make your schedule and do things that work for you. Take the time you need to get other things done.
