On The Farm

This card literally took me hours last night to complete just because I was trying a new technique with my Stampin' Up! Markers to get a certain look. You can see a tutorial about it here called No Copics No Problem:
I love the way everyone else's projects look using this, but wasn't too happy with the way mine came out. I definetly used way too much green for the grass. And I still have green marker on my fingers this morning, much to the amazement of my two year old!! LOL! I will be trying this again to try and get it right.
For this card I used the retired stamp set On The Farm. The cardstock is textured kraft I think, and the designer paper is retired Outlaw. I smuged up the edges of all the papers with my Close to Cocoa ink pad. And added 3 brads on the side from my package of Vintage Brads.
I wasn't sure who I was going to send this card to, that is why there is no sentiment on the front. It will probably end up as a birthday card to one of my brothers or brothers-in-law I'm sure, since they don't know anything about card making or coloring!
We are off to ballet this morning, and then I think I'm taking the kids on a special "secret" trip to Chucky Cheese this afternoon if we can get our rooms cleaned this morning and ready to go! Hope you all have a great weekend!
Happy Stamping!
